Karen Arena, Vice President, Global PR
After years as a consultant to high tech companies, Xerox among them, Karen joined the company late 2011 and hasn’t looked back. Her extensive travel includes weekly trips over the GWB, and she’s found a new love for driving the NJ Turnpike. When not at Xerox HQ in Connecticut, she’s bargain-hunting in New Jersey with her daughters, Christina and Jaclyn. Favorite spot, TJX stores, where else?
For stress relieve, you can find her early on Sunday mornings, sometimes with Jackie, doing yoga at Inner Light Yoga Center (shameless plug). A lover of anything social, whether it’s online or off, Karen likes to say that she collects people more than anything else. Follow her on twitter @arenak. One of Karen’s favorite things to do is enjoy a good meal and conversation with friends and family. Her husband Mario has convinced her to love wine, and like golf…sort of. She’s got a passion for good food and cooking and attributes that to her Italian-American, New Yorker roots. She’s not a fan of any sport, really, even though she graduated from the basketball-crazed St. John’s University.
Her goal is to shape the new dialogue around this iconic brand and company, and she’s thrilled for the opportunity to do so.
Alexander Charles, Public Relations Coordinator
As a self-described sci-fi geek and football fan, Alex counts A Game of Thrones and the New York Jets as his favorite book and team respectively. He’s the oldest of three boys and a graduate of Fordham University where he studied communications and media studies. He also holds a master’s degree from CUNY Baruch College in Corporate Communication.

Erin Isselmann, Director Social Media PR,
Erin is director of Social Media PR for Xerox. While she isn’t juggling the company’s corporate blog, YouTube Brand Channel, and @XeroxCorp Twitter handle, she enjoys living in Portland, OR (The Rose City), keeping up with her two daughters Amy and Carly, traveling to warm places, and pop culture.
She is a recipient of a Silver Anvil from the Public Relations Society of America (2005) and was named to the Portland Business Journal’s “40 Under 40″ in 2009. Erin is a proud USC Trojan (Class of 1992). In addition to learning to appreciate college football, Erin met her husband Jack at USC . Kevin Lightfoot, Global Communications, Services Business
When he is not breaking horses or trying to perfect his backhand slice, Lightfoot loves to turn a phrase and make our common day experiences seem exotic. As the vice president of corporate communication for Xerox Services, he is constantly on the prowl to explain our business in simpler terms. While a native of Canada, he now lives in Texas.
Laurie Riedman, Innovation Blogger, PR Consultant
Laurie Riedman is a geek at heart and loves working with Xerox scientists across the globe. She considers herself the ultimate interpreter as she helps Xerox researchers communicate what they are so passionate about. Her goal is to enlighten the world about the amazing innovation being ignited inside Xerox.
Laurie has been a writer and consultant in technology industry for over 29 years. She’s been supporting the Xerox Innovation Group for more years than she can remember (hint: when she started working with Xerox, the fax machine (do you remember those?) took up most of her desk, and she hadn’t given birth to her three children (two of which are in college ).
When Laurie isn’t demystifying data analytics, ethnography or color science she is helping our world become a better place through her involvement in many non-profit organizations. She also enjoys overseeing the restoration of her family’s Italianate Victorian house in Canandaigua New York (can anyone say Money Pit?), and outdoor activities such as biking, hiking and boating in New York’s Finger Lakes.
Bob Wagner, Corporate Director, Global Communications, Technology Business
Bob is what Love is the Killer App author Tim Sanders calls a “love cat”— someone who shares their knowledge and network to help others succeed while building lasting relationships that are mutually beneficial. In his 20-plus years at Xerox, whether in his current role as corporate director of global communications for the Xerox Technology Business, or past assignments in our graphic communications industry business, Bob’s priority has always been to help customers and colleagues profit and grow. He says it’s the favorite part of his job.
He currently leads global communications for Xerox’s core technology-driven lines of business. Prior to that, Bob served as director of worldwide corporate industry analyst relations where he led the company’s key interactions with industry influencers from international research firms. From 1999 to 2009, Bob was vice president of Xerox’s Creative Services Business Segment where he was the company’s digital printing evangelist for agency and design services professionals—recognized by Graphic Design USA magazine in 2008 as one of its “People to Watch.” He also headed the Xerox Premier Partners Global Network of hundreds of vanguard, Xerox-equipped digital graphic communications services providers.
Bob has an MBA in marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s in communications from Seton Hall University. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at RIT, teaching multimedia strategies courses in the School of Print Media. He loves following Seton Hall hoops, the New York Yankees and the RIT hockey Tigers—the love cat loves those cats!
Bob lives in Rochester, N.Y. with his wife, Kathy, a corporate trainer, and his daughter, Julia Rose, a marketing communications major at Ithaca College. Go, IC Bombers!
