That’s the commitment you will see throughout our 2015 Global Citizenship Report. You’ll also read about some of the ways we translate this passion into programs and progress.

In our 10th annual report, we provide in-depth information in broad areas of corporate social responsibility, including governance and ethics, customer privacy and satisfaction, employee diversity and development, environmental initiatives, corporate donations and volunteerism, and much more.

Here are noteworthy facts from each section.

Our Commitment

  • We report according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines. GRI is an international independent organization that helps businesses, governments and other organizations understand and communicate the impact of business on critical sustainability issues.

Doing Good Business

  • Our Code of Business Conduct supports the principles of The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
  • We proactively seeks suppliers that are certified small businesses as well as enterprises owned by minorities, women, veterans, gays and lesbians, and disabled persons.

Evolving the Workplace

  • Year after year, Xerox is recognized for embracing diversity in the workplace. A sampling of awards in this year’s report includes: “Top 100 Companies for Veterans,” “Top 25 Noteworthy Companies for Diversity” and “50 Best Companies for Latinas.”
  • Our new diversity policy, called the “Wilson Rule,” launched in 2015.

Putting Customers First

  • Scientists and engineers from our global research centers apply advanced image processing and predictive analytics to gather data from images — one of our longstanding specialties.
  • Consistent with the world’s most stringent ecolabels, we design products to control emissions of chemicals and noise. As a result, our current products have achieved chemical emission levels that are well below global regulatory requirements.

Preserving the Planet

  • Our four strategic environmental commitment areas: Reducing Energy Use and Protecting the Climate, Preserving the World’s Forests and Biodiversity, Preserving Clean Air and Water, and Preventing and Managing Waste.
  • All of our major manufacturing and distribution operations employ an environmental management system that conforms to ISO 14001.

Caring for Communities

  • We invested $13.5 million in the non-profit sector through The Xerox Foundation.
  • More than 2,500 non-profit organizations, colleges and universities received direct financial support in the form of grants, matching gifts or community involvement activities of Xerox people.
